Terms of Use
Using this site
T9 Texting is a free browser tool for converting text to T9 and multi-tap key sequences, decoding those sequences back into words, and practising on a virtual keypad. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using it.
No warranty
The site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. T9 decoding is inherently ambiguous: several words can share one digit sequence, and the dictionary covers only common English words. Do not rely on the output for anything where a wrong reading would matter. We are not liable for any loss arising from use of the site.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to disrupt the service, scrape it at a volume that degrades it for others, or use it to break the law. We may restrict access if the site is being abused.
Your content
Anything you type stays in your browser. We do not receive or store typed content on an application server, so we claim no rights over it. The optional challenge personal best is stored only in your browser as described in the Privacy policy. You are responsible for whatever you choose to type or share.
Third-party material
The predictive dictionary is derived from the google-10000-english word list, which is published under a permissive licence and credited in the project source. The LCD typeface is VT323, used under the SIL Open Font License. T9 is a trademark of its respective owner; this site is an independent tribute and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any handset maker or the original developers of T9.
Changes
These terms may change as the site changes. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
