The short version

Text conversion, number decoding, T9 prediction and keypad input run inside your browser. T9 Texting has no accounts, advertising scripts, analytics scripts or tracking cookies. Your input is not sent to an application server unless you explicitly place it in a share link and send that link somewhere yourself.

What runs on your device

The converter, decoder, virtual phone and typing challenge are client-side JavaScript. The T9 word list is a static text file downloaded from this site and searched locally. Ordinary typing and decoding do not make a request containing your message or number sequence.

Local storage

If you complete a typing challenge, the site may save your fastest result for each challenge mode and difficulty in your browser's local storage. That record contains the score, not an account or identity, and never leaves your device through T9 Texting. Clearing this site's browser data removes it.

Offline cache

A service worker may cache the app shell, word list, font, icons and legal pages so the converter can keep working offline. The cache contains site files, not the text or number sequences you enter. You can remove it by clearing this site's stored data or uninstalling the web app.

Share links

The Share button creates a self-contained URL whose fragment includes the current input and formatting choices. That fragment is created only after you press Share. T9 Texting's server does not receive URL fragments, but a browser, operating-system share sheet, messaging app or person you send the link to may retain the full URL. Do not share sensitive text.

Clipboard, sound and vibration

Copy actions use your browser's clipboard permission. Optional key sounds are synthesized on the device, and optional haptic feedback uses the browser vibration feature where supported. These controls do not transmit the text being typed.

Server and network data

The site is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data such as IP address, user agent and requested path to serve files and protect the service. We do not add our own behavioral analytics or message logging on top of that delivery layer.

Children

T9 Texting does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
